If there’s any food that every parent feeds their baby across the world, it’s likely to be oatmeal! While regular oatmeal is widely available, it’s best to feed babies a wholesome organic version.
One of the most touted health benefits of oatmeal is its fibre content and this is especially important for weaning babies who are prone to constipation and hard stools. This high fibre also provides a good amount of energy for babies who are learning to crawl, stand and walk. Yet, oatmeal is relatively light on the stomach and easy for little babies to digest. Oatmeal is also rich in all kinds of essential nutrients – calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium and an assortment of vitamins.
Oatmeal is one of the simplest foods to make for baby and one of the healthiest as well. Using an organic version like Little Moppet Foods’ Organic Oatmeal increases the nutritional benefits since it uses oats grown without chemical fertilisers or pesticides. It is also free from any kind of artificial flavour or preservative, making it an ideal first food for your baby.
