Let's Educate Children In Need

Let’s Educate Children In Need (LECIN) was initiated by two students: Nupur Bhardwaj and Rohit Kumar from Delhi University with a goal to impart the gift of education to underprivileged children of Delhi.

When Nupur was in the second year of her Bachelor’s degree, she decided to teach a few slum children, which in turn inspired the idea of LECIN. This organisation now works with more than 1500 children in the slums and government schools of Delhi and Noida with the help of 300 vibrant volunteers.

LECIN has caught the attention of many people because of its unique teaching methods which includes the exposure to art and other such activities. The products from LECIN are made by the volunteers and girls from low income communities they collaborate with.

Nupur, co-founder of LECIN, believes that helping, more than being a charity is a way for us to understand our fellow beings who we have neglected all our lives.
